Hodgkin Lymphoma in a 70 years old Male.

I don’t exactly remember, if this kind of hematologic neoplasia coud occur in such old person. What I know, is the cyto-morphology of this patient seemed to show Reed Sternberg cells on my assestment.

But I still consider this case of being an NHL, with Pleomorphic peripheral T-cell Lymphoma type, which is caused by viral infection (HTLV-I). I do have the smear slides, but forgot to take picture of this patient with enlargement of submental lymph node and a large bulky lump on his left neck. He is doing good, but.

    Salam kenal dok, saya yuri 32 th, saya mau tanya tentang osteoma frontal. Apakah bisa membesar dengan cepat atau tidak? Saya ada osteoma di frontal kepala diameter 1 cm sudah 4 th ini. Selama ini tidak ada keluhan. Sudah di lakukan fnab. Apakah harus segera di operasi atau masih bisa menunggu mengingat saya juga ada kolostomi (akan melakukan penutupan) juga baru selesai operasi jantung 6 bulan lalu? Terima kasih buat jawabannya.

    Halo Maya,

    Kecenderungan pada pria, itu berdasarkan data statistik. Belum ada satu bukupun yang menjelaskan kenapa penderita Hodgkin Limfoma kebanyakan laki-laki.

    Virus HIV bisa juga menjadi pencetus timbulnya Hodgkin limfoma. Karena virus HIV sangat menurunkan daya tahan tubuh, sehingga penyakit apapun mudah dicetuskan dari kondisi imunitas yang sangat ngedrop.

    dok. aku mau tanya kenapa penderita limpoma hodkin banyak diderita oleh laki2?apa sebabnya ? dan bisa gak virus HIV menyebabkan limpoma hodkin?
